About us
At Rowan Tree Designs, we strive to create beautiful handcrafted and unique items that can be cherished and enjoyed.
We are inspired by natural elements from nature such as ancient woods, gemstones, and metals and add them to contemporary mediums to create unique pieces.
Usually no two pieces are the same, as each selection of wood, stone or resin has it’s own presence. However as our products are made in small batches they will at times have what we refer to as 'sisters'. This means they have come from the same small batch of resin and selected woods. However our Viking runes and Zodiac pendants are from a ranged series, but even still being hand made they will always maintain their own identity.
We believe that the owning of one of our creations should be as individual and special as the owner themselves!
But enough about that...who are we?
We are a husband and wife duo who love creating so much, that in 2021 we decided to turn that passion into our gorgeously artisan business. Starting out firstly in markets, before creating a website that just catalogued our items, to eventually stocking galleries and having our very own ecommerce website.
So here's a bit about who we are as people...
Rowan as a young lad remembers fondly working in his fathers workshop, making toys, bows, arrows and anything that would accidentally break his parents windows. However as he grew older, so did his experiences in the arts and crafts, primarily working in the manufacture of unique wood and metal creations for over 20 years.
Teresa as a young lass was much quieter and preferred drawing, painting and dabbling in music. She didn’t pick up woodworking tools until later in life and instead focused on being a trained and registered ECE Teacher for many years - until eventually leaving her career to focus on Rowan Tree Designs. She has a great eye for design and enjoys working with the finer aspects of our crafts; with a particular love for making earrings as she says “you can never have enough”.
Together we have created our artisan business with the goal to make unique items, that are as individual and special as the people who acquire them. We love seeing the joy they provide when they find their person!
