Matariki Swamp Kauri Pendant

This unique pendant has been lovingly crafted from a gorgeous piece of NZ's own Swamp Kauri and lovingly inlaid with Copper, Aluminium and Brass to represent the star cluster known in NZ as Matariki or Pleiades.

It is a perfect pendant for a star lover, whilst connecting them to our gorgeous country with Native Wood and culture.

Swamp Kauri which is also known as Ancient Kauri, comes from Kauri trees that have been buried and preserved in peat swamps for between 800 and 60,000 years making it such a special part of NZ's heritage. 

The pendant is between a mid size, and has an approximate depth of 5mm, however it is nice and light to wear - Please note the photo is an example only, if you would like to specifically choose your piece please contact us and we can send pictures of the wood grains available.

Matariki is a star cluster that is also known as the Pleiades and is visible in our country 11 months of the year.
